St. Louis Rams getting fans’ pulses racing

Missouri is the “Show Me” state, location of the Twin Cities and is home to the St Louis Rams. This innovative NFL sports team has set the pulse of fans racing for generations. The team’s name and stadium may have changed over the years, but the spirit and enthusiasm of the original Rams organization remains an inspiration. Today, some of the kids who saw some of the original Rams in action are excitedly purchasing St Louis Rams tickets and returning to the stands with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren by their sides.

Although the club has had its up and down seasons, it has consistently been a favorite sports team for many soccer fans. Fans rally around this team every year, and high sales figures are a given any time St. Louis Rams tickets are offered. The dynamic plays and “Never Give Up” mentality displayed by the Rams can always bring the crowd to its feet.

Tracking the St Louis Rams through history

1936 was the first year this team played, and at the time they were based in Cleveland, Ohio. This football team is considered to be a close relative of another Cleveland Rams group that was once a member of the American Football League. When this Rams team reformed, it only had 4 of the original players and no previous management staff. For this reason, it was considered to be a new team.

Dan Reeves, the team’s owner in 1946, moved the football club to Los Angeles, California, and the Rams became the first NFL club on the Pacific Coast. The former Cleveland Browns were now known as the Los Angeles Rams. From 1980 to 1994 the team moved to Orange County and played in Anaheim, California. As the 1995 season began, the Rams moved to St Louis, Missouri.

Introducing Professional Explorers

Surprisingly, many of the team’s most devoted fans are often unaware that the Rams were the ones to start the practice of using football scouts. Eddie Kotal was an employee of the Rams in the 1940s. He was the first to begin scouting potential talent and recruits across the United States as a professional scout. Kotal made sure to find the best players no matter what college they attended. One of his most prolific hunting grounds for new draft picks was at black colleges. Some of the legendary pro players might have gone completely under the radar if it hadn’t been for Kotal’s involvement.

The Rams are ready to rock the field

For most of the years of the franchise’s existence, this team has attracted a large number of fans. The 2009 season is eagerly awaited by many who already have their St Louis Rams tickets in their hands. Rumors about which highly touted college player will be selected when the Rams use their second pick in the draft have created additional excitement. The Detroit Lions will get the first shot in the long list of hopeful recruits, but the Rams have several players in mind who can help bolster their game on the field.
