Samsung S27A750 27in 120Hz 3D Widescreen HD LED Monitor

If first impressions are anything to go by, then this newly launched monitor is a top notch winner.

HDMI and display port:

The monitor is connected to my Nvidia 470 SOC video graphics card with a DVI-I to HDMI cable. The monitor provides HDMI and Display Port jack with a Display Port cable in the package. A variety of configurations can be achieved depending on the cable used and offers a range of refresh rates and 2D, 3D and HD audio options. HDMI offers good quality 3D at 60Hz, while Display Port offers a higher level of 3D at 120Hz.

In the frame:

Monitor – 27 Inch 120Hz 3D Widescreen HD LED Monitor

– 3D Glasses with Battery (Non-Rechargeable)

– Display port cable,

– 14 volt power supply,

– Cable tie and mounting bracket

– Cleaning cloth: use only a cloth moistened with water. Do not use strong detergents or chemical cleaners.

Fast Action 2ms, 120Hz:

Fast-moving 3D action displays well, even at 60Hz, the best I’ve seen to date with this 2ms, 120Hz compatible monitor. Picture results are equivalent to what you’d expect from a plasma display. .

Glossy black screen:

I was unaware at the time of purchase that the monitor had a glossy black screen, and was a little bummed out when I opened the box, but in my monitor’s location it works fine and has easily earned my praise after only a few days of use. functioning. Would you consider getting a shiny black screen again? Yes, but my first preference would always be “matte finish”,

Blackest Blacks:

This is the first time I have experienced this depth of black. I’ve read about blacks, I’ve heard of blacks, and now I’ve finally experienced them and I’m impressed. Blacker blacks allow for a much richer viewing experience in every frame.

3D active glasses:

The 3D glasses battery should last between 6 and 12 months, maybe even longer depending on usage. The supplied battery is not rechargeable, but is easily purchased and installed for a few dollars. You can buy additional glasses, but the 27-inch design lends itself better to a single user. An additional pair is around $120.00 AUD/USD and varies depending on where you get them.

Booth footprint:

The stand has a small but handy surface, with “Eight” small white backlit control buttons embedded in a glossy black faceplate on the stand.

Control buttons:

The eight control buttons offer a wide range of automatic and/or custom options. A dedicated 3D button, supports 2D, HD, Active 3D, Sequential, Side by Side, Top and Bottom formats to name a few.

Other features:

Energy saving, super slim design and aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

Total Cost – Lenses Included:

Recommended retail is $599.00 USD/AUD if you can find one. These have only been on the market for a few months and have almost completely sold out. Lots of online stores claim they have 2, 3, 5 or more in stock, however when you contact them to place an order like I did with 5 different stores, I quickly found out they didn’t have any and wouldn’t be getting them for some time. .

Advantages:

Stylish, technically advanced, it supports a wide range of the most common 3D modes. With the monitor set to run at 60 Hz via the HDMI cable, the PC graphics card runs about 15 degrees cooler than with the Samsung RZ2233 counterpart. The glasses supplied with this monitor will work with the Samsung RZ2233 Nvidia setup. The good news is that the 3D format will work with an ATI Radeon or Nvidia video card.

Cons:

The glossy screen can leave fingerprint marks, as can the glossy black faceplate control panel. The positioning of the monitor is essential to avoid reflections on the glossy screen. I have not been able to get my old version of “Nvidia 3D glasses” to work with this monitor. The stand takes up little space and could present a problem if it is not positioned carefully.

Conclusion:

The best PC monitor I’ve found to date. This 2D, HD, or 3D monitor far exceeds anything I’ve come across with darker blacks and power efficiency that puts little strain on the computer’s hardware. The monitor provides crystal-clear TV via a simple and inexpensive “USB Video Stick” when connected via the computer’s USB port. Fast action displays well on this 2 ms 120 Hz monitor. It plays Blu-ray and Blu-ray 3D at a very high level.

My rating 4.5 out of 5 stars – Outstanding a first class product at a very good price. LG D2770P 2D 3D HD Monitor vs. Samsung S27A750 2D 3D HD Monitor Comparison:

I was hoping to find a working model of the LG D2770P 2D 3D HD to compare it to this Samsung counterpart. I have contacted LG twice with no luck. I’m more than happy to review LG monitor if I can find one that works in 3D. Until then I’ll let you draw your own conclusions.
