250cc X31 Gio Pit Bike Review

Looking to enter the realm of pitbikes? Are you on a budget? You are in the right place because Gio Bikes, a company based in Canada, has fantastic deals on pit bikes. While China continues to build mostly worthless junk parts, Gio Bikes has been making and selling off-road-worthy pit bikes.

A 250cc pit bike is the perfect learning bike for an older child or adult because it has a high enough seat height and has enough power for a larger rider. Gio Bikes has a few different 250cc bikes, but the 2010 X31 (19 “/ 16”) is their most popular 250cc pit bike. You may be thinking, “this is just another dirt bike that looks cheap,” because it’s not as well known as Honda or Kawasaki. Think again, because these pit bikes are made in Canada with higher quality parts than knockoff bikes from China.

Motor

The 2010 X31 engine is an air-cooled 250cc four-stroke engine. It has decent torque, but pulls well at mid and high rpm. It comes with a high performance Mikuni carburettor, which is used in the best brand motocross bikes. This bike has enough power for anyone to have fun. It can hold its own on the trails and has enough ‘oomph’ when messing with your friends. It also comes with a high-flow exhaust system that provides good power and sounds great.

Picture

The engine is wrapped in a lightweight aluminum perimeter frame. It’s the style used by great motocross bikes. The CAD designed frame is made to be abused by adult riders and weekend warriors. It is much stronger than a Chinese bicycle and is light enough that a kid who rides it can leave it in the corners without tipping over.

Suspension

Are you a younger, smaller rider who likes to break the trails? A woman who wants a good bicycle to follow the family? Or are you a bigger guy who enjoys farting on a pit bike and showing off to his friends? If you’re one of those, or in between, the suspension on this 250cc pit bike can be adjusted to suit your riding style. Both the shock and forks have fully adjustable Japanese grade suspension (much better than Chinese). The 2010 X31 forks are inverted Fast Ace shocks that have great damping. They’re probably not strong enough for motocross or big jumps, but they get the job done if you stay close to the ground. For the rear, it has a Showa air cell damper. Showa shocks are used on Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha, and other big brand motorcycles and dirt bikes, so you know they’re top-notch. Not all pit bikes come with fully adjustable suspension, let alone adjustable, so it’s a huge benefit that this Giovanni 250cc pit bike has.

Build quality

Almost all parts of this pitbike are made of high quality material. This means less sudden breakdowns, unlike Chinese copycats. Just by looking at this bike, you can tell that parts are not cheap. You will be able to ride the Gio Bikes 250cc bike for hours on end, assuming you do regular maintenance like you would any other dirt bike. I would definitely recommend Gio’s pit bikes for their quality parts as an alternative to Chinese bikes.

Additional…

There’s a lot to the X31, but the main features besides the engine and suspension are the brakes, controls, and other body parts. Both wheels are stronger than previous years on this bike, ensuring they’ll stand up to abuse from adult riders. Hydraulic disc brakes are on the wheels to give you stopping power like motocross bikes. The triple clamps are made of high quality alloy which makes the controls smoother and more comfortable. Also, you can get the bike in four different colors!

Final thoughts

The anodized and motocross styling features, Japanese quality parts, and sleek looks of this 250cc pit bike make you want to ride. With electric start, anyone who can put their butt on the seat can ride it. If you want a cheap, durable bike that has enough power and suspension to break through the trails and cornfield, go no further. Gio Bikes has auctions where you can get these bikes for very little money (pun intended). If you don’t want to wait for an auction to end, you can pay for a bike and it will be shipped to you right away. Also, if you want to upgrade or change some parts, Gio Bikes has plenty of spare parts and spare parts in stock to fit your pit bike. As long as you take care of this bike, it will take care of you. Have fun and break it!
