WOW Cataclysm is almost here and this is without a doubt the biggest expansion Blizzard has ever released for the game.

I mean not only do you get new zones, new races to play with the update, but the whole world is changing and that means all your epics won’t be epics anymore and the leveling path from 1 to 80 has changed.

Of course now the level cap is 85 and to get there you will need to explore the new areas of the game.

So basically the way to watch World of Warcraft Cataclysm is that everyone is starting from scratch again.

Of course the top players, I mean the people who put in hours and hours of gaming time, are not too happy about this as it means that all that hard work will be lost and they will no longer be the Elites on their servers.

Well, not for a while until they build everything back up anyway!

Well, there seems to be a lot of confusion as to whether or not you’ll need a WOW Cataclysm guide to help you with the game and I thought I’d answer that for you:

No, you don’t need a guide!

If you only play WOW recreationally and don’t feel like going and breaking leveling records, you’ll be fine without a guide.

Of course, it may take you longer to complete the game, but join a good guild, ask a lot of questions and you will gradually start to get to grips with the game and I dare say this will be more valuable to you in the long run. .

Now if you’re one of those World of Warcraft players who needs to be the best and wants to run up to level 85, dig up a new area with Archeology, and basically be the one that people whisper to in game saying “How are you getting level? so fast?”, then a guide might be for you.

Just make sure you get a guide that was designed during the BETA and has some proof that you are a real player.

For example, if you can’t see any video evidence on the guide’s website, it might not be a good idea to get that guide!

There ARE some good guides and if in doubt, ask your guild what to do.

I will say that a guide kills a lot of the game because it’s so focused on leveling up, but if you want to be one of the best and just come in first, it might be worth it!
