The secret of speed reading

“According to research at Cmabriigde Uinervtisy you shouldn’t see what order the lters are in a wrrd, the only ipmoetnt tihhng is taaht thr frrist and lssat lttteers be in the rgghit pcclae. The rsset can be a bit tooatl msses and you can sit without a poor belly. This is because humans do not dee all letters for istlef, but the wrrod as a wllohe”. (holistic)

This was invented at the University of Nottingham, UK by Graham Rawlinson, PhD in 1976.

The point is to show how you can speed through reading much faster than you think, and still get meaning and not lose comprehension. (Peripheral). Learn and do, and you will earn promotions in school and in your career.

So what

There are two key elements to becoming a speed reader. Learn them and you will absolutely triple your reading speed and double your long-term memory.

1. Read with your Peripheral (wide) Vision and not with your Foveal (central) vision. Foveal vision is a close read used for watching television, playing video games, and watching movies. He has been taught to read books, articles, and reports using this narrow foveal-central vision.

Wrongo: You need your wide peripheral vision to read. It’s easy to learn and turns ordinary students into “A” winners, for real. It gets you promotions in your career because you learn fast and have all the

information at your fingertips.

2. Always, and we do mean always, read by holding a pen or rastermaster (handheld laser pacemaker) to underline each sentence you read. Later. Reading on your computer, use the cursor (tip) of your mouse to underline each sentence you read.

What does it take to master?

Answer: persistence and about 15 minutes a day for 21 consecutive days. After three weeks, your new speed reading skill goes on autopilot and becomes a habit. There are details for executives and students.

Evelyn Wood was my business partner (1907-1995), created speed reading, and graduated 2 million, including the White House staff of four US Presidents: Kennedy-Johnson-Nixon-Carter.

See you,
