One of the advantages of network marketing is the fact that you can work at home and work on your own hours. This fact is particularly useful if there are reasons why you have difficulty working on a standard eight to five business day or have difficulty working in a “traditional” office environment. People with attention deficits at some point fall into this category. Often it’s not that they can’t work in those circumstances, they just prefer to be a little more flexible.

If you’ve been in network marketing for a while, you can recognize that you often find high-energy people in this business. Of course, not everyone is diagnosed with hyperactivity, but it is a personality trait that is very useful in the network marketing business.

Network marketing requires upbeat and positive energy. Since a large part of network marketing deals with people, it takes a lot of energy. You have to be awake most of the time. You have to be able to keep yourself and your team motivated, and this sometimes means putting your energy into overdrive. Suddenly, that trait that drove your master crazy is a huge advantage. Take advantage of it!

Network marketing changes often. This prevents someone with attention deficit from getting bored. You don’t have to worry about anything being mundane for a long time. There are always new products to learn, new training to listen to, compensation plan changes, and new people at your company. There’s always a new moment to hold her attention, and she likes it that way!

No one in your upline will think it’s strange if you are very enthusiastic and talk at 90 miles per hour. In fact, they will like it. The more you can walk around your room while you’re on the phone, the more no one will notice or care. You can also walk while listening to the workout, on a conference call, virtually while doing anything. (A web conference can be a bit distracting, but luckily there probably won’t be too many!)

Your network marketing business is exactly that: your business. You can run it however you want. You can make it your pajamas. You control your time. If you want to work on your business for 15 minutes or three hours, that’s fine! Network marketing is a business that can turn what may have been a problem for you into an opportunity with many of the necessary features built in.
