Leadership attributes: willingness to accept responsibility
Have you ever joined a company only to find out later that your upline or team leader had no idea what they were doing and when things got tough, no one, not even the president of the company, would accept responsibility any for it? If this has happened to you, you have discovered why an important attribute of a leader is his willingness to accept responsibility.
Any company that wants to be successful and last for many years must accept the responsibility of making it possible. The burden of the task should not fall on the followers but on the leadership because an effective leader will understand the importance of their role.
A leader is someone who will guide his followers to success, so in the world of online business what does this mean? Well, to put it simply, it means that the goal of the leader should be to create new leaders. However, the problem we face today is that many leaders do not want their followers to become leaders because they prefer that they remain customers.
If you are constantly looking for the right way, you will keep spending money until you find it. Is this a good deal. (Or so they say)
However, a great leader takes full responsibility and therefore works hard to ensure his or her success. Your goals are your goals and they help you achieve your goals.
Let me ask you a question, would you rather have a leader who takes responsibility for his team, who makes coaching calls with his team, who does one-on-one meetings with his team? Would you want a leader who believes strongly in you and is willing to work with you for as long as he is willing to work with you?
Or I would prefer a leader who never accepted responsibility for his followers or anything. Who always blamed you for your failures and told you that you just didn’t try hard enough or that you just didn’t spend enough time or didn’t call enough people, or that you spent enough money on advertising.
What kind of leader would you like to have if you could choose?
The type of leader you would want says a lot about the type of leader you are or will be.
Never lose sight of the fact that people are people with hopes, dreams, and goals. They are looking for someone who can show them the right path and the person who will be a leader in their eyes and will continue to follow this person (possibly you) for years to come.
Ask yourself what kind of leader you want to be.
