Fight Les Mills against TurboFire

I am comparing Les Mills Combat vs. TurboFire because I recently saw a comment made on a Facebook post about TurboFire being MORE intense than Les Mill Combat. My first thought was REALLY!!! You got to be kidding! But then my second thought was that like all training, you get out of your training what you put into your training. Oh, and that we are all different.

You’ll see at first glance that you might think that Les Mills Combat and TurboFire are basically the same type of workout. And in some ways they are very similar, but I think what makes them different is more important in helping you decide which fitness program is best for you. What the two have in common makes them great cardio programs, BUT what makes them different is what will make a program a GREAT fitness program for YOU.

Les Mills Combat Vs. TurboFire ~ What is similar?

* Both have boxing and kickboxing moves.

* Both have motivating coaches

*Both have a “live” gym class feel to them.

* Both have fun music

* Both have HIIT workouts

* Both will burn tons of calories and fat

*Both are an absolute joy to make

Les Mills Combat Vs. TurboFire ~ What’s Different

* Les Mills Combat is straight up badass MMA with combos that are pretty easy to follow. TurboFire is fancy with combos that get so confusing you might give up.

* Les Mills Combat has a basic gym feel, while TurboFire has a gym feel if the gym was a club.

As you can see, there aren’t many differences for me, but the differences are huge…for me! TurboFire is a lot of fun IF you can follow the combos. These combos can last for what seems like forever. My brain just doesn’t keep up with all the movements. When I did TurboFire after just a few minutes, my arms were going to the left and my feet were going to the right! It wasn’t pretty and it was pretty frustrating. But with Les Mills Combat, the combos are straight up punch and kick combos that don’t have too many different moves. This makes it much easier for me to punch and kick hard with concentration, which gets my heart rate up. Also, I can finish workouts and feel a great sense of accomplishment.

Now I KNOW this is going to piss off TurboFire fans, which no matter which side of the fence you fall on this is inevitable. TurboFire is a WONDERFUL home fitness program that has given many people the results they are looking for and if you love more complicated and dancing combinations in your workout, go for it!

Simply put, you can’t go wrong with ANY fitness program! Both are intense cardio programs that will get you results. Choose which one is right for YOU and go ahead! Give it all you’ve got and have fun!
