Blood Brothers by Nora Roberts – A Review

Blood Brothers is the first book in author Nora Roberts’ new trilogy, Sign of Seven. This story takes place in the small town of Hawkins Hollow, Maryland. It tells the story of three friends: Caleb, Fox and Gage, and the nightmare that breaks out on their 10th birthday. They were all born the same day, the same year, they share a brotherly bond that proves to be stronger and deeper than they ever believed. The night before their tenth birthday they go camping near the Pagan Stone. That night an event occurs that changes their lives and their sleepy city possibly forever. An evil being breaks loose and every seven years in the seventh month he returns to the village and makes the locals do unspeakable things, then they don’t remember them. It’s up to these three friends to try to stop the evil madness before it’s too late. The only problem is, how?

Reporter and author Quinn Black arrives. She has been following supernatural stories across the country and has come to Hawkins Hollow to get the scoop on this one for her next book. Now that she has arrived in town, Caleb and his friends must decide how much to share with Quinn. To their surprise and dismay, they discover that she could be a link to help them destroy this evil once and for all. The evil moves start much earlier than usual, and Quinn can see them too, while the locals can’t. Will they defeat this evil and free the city from its clutches? You will have to read the book to find out.
