Archeology Leveling Guide

Archeology is a side job available to a World of Warcraft character in the Cataclysm expansion set. This job allows the traveler to uncover some of the mysteries of Azeroth that unite the long threads of Warcraft history while also unearthing archeological rewards that take the form of rare pets, armor, and weapons. This archeology leveling guide can get you up to Grandmaster status, but it’s not as expensive as other jobs like Engineering or Enchanting. It takes time to finish. The procedure is the same as for other gathering side jobs like fishing, as it requires persistence and dedication.

The initial part of an archeology leveling guide is visiting a job trainer in a city’s capital. Unlike similar side jobs, a person must be level 20 before beginning training. This is because riding mounts are only available at this level and are an easier way to travel the world. In the trainer, two skills are acquired. These skills are Archeology and Surveying. At the start, Survey is the only skill needed to look across different areas on the starting continents.

Once the world map opens, it’s time to check out the areas that give surveying rewards. An archaeological grading guide should convey that it is important to immediately find areas crossed by a shovel. Many players take their time and only visit the sites when they are on nearby missions. Archeology is a job that requires a bit of hopping from location to location to end up in the desired areas, so it can be difficult to put together quest chains. This provides an opportunity to pick up other job items along the way, such as minerals, leather, herbs, or other disenchanted items.

There are four dig sites on each continent and can be visited three times each. Don’t try to solve the artifacts until fifty are obtained. The survey process will reach level 50 in the job and solve the artifacts to increase the levels. 50 and above relies solely on resolving artifacts to increase abilities. A person will gain five levels per completed artifact, which will be worth a good amount of gold or silver. In the final stage of an archeology leveling guide, a person has to worry about maintaining the proper level.

Certain archeology rewards are WOW armor sets. Some are awarded as soon as a character reaches level 50. Others can only be awarded at the highest profession level.
