So there are some people talking about an ACN scam, do they have a legitimate reason for doing so? Or is it just another stab at the network marketing industry in general?

Well, let’s take a quick look at the company and see what it really is.

American Communications Network is a telecommunications company that provides full digital phone service with videophone, it also provides broadband as part of its service portfolio. There is an opportunity to acquire customers and distributors under the MLM compensation plan. It should be noted that a true bona fide service is being provided here. Obviously, this company is not a ponzi scheme by any description. As we all know, a real pyramid scam is one where no product or service is delivered to the end user, but only money is exchanged to attract people to the pyramid.

The following are some other reasons you may want to consider when making an ACN decision.

The company is backed by Donald Trump, founder of The Trump Network. Now, given Donald’s popularity and reputation in the business world, I can’t imagine him associating himself with anything that isn’t 100% legit. Interestingly, ACN is also associated with other major telecom providers Sprint, Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Dish Network, and Direct TV. This is good for the customer in the first place, as the service you receive is likely to be top-notch. I also don’t think such companies would partner with ACN if they thought they were somehow ripping people off.

ACN was founded by Greg Provenzano, Robert Stevanovski, Mike Cupisz and Tony Cupisz (twin brothers), all previously successful network marketers. You will find the headquarters of this company in Michigan.

Based on the evidence so far, it appears that ACN is legit!

Some people may be dissatisfied when they buy these opportunities under the impression that they will get rich quick and with little effort. Unfortunately, some people will continue to market their business in this misleading and exaggerated way. Many people will impulse buy quick riches only to find out 2 or 3 months later that the dream they were sold has not materialized. Most network marketing companies only provide basic training to their new distributors, which rarely extends to making a warm list and looking for friends and family. It takes a little more than that to be successful in this industry.

It is a sad but true fact that most will not make it to the ranks of the top distributors. MLM can be a cruel business, there are definitely some skill sets that need to be developed along with the right mindset of course. Many distributors will struggle to expose enough people to their opportunity. Network marketing is definitely a numbers game; it will go through many ‘no’s’ before arriving at a ‘yes’. Particularly with traditional marketing methods, it can be difficult to generate enough leads. It’s a problem I’ve struggled with in my business for quite a few years.

The good news is that for those who want to be successful, it is possible, the tools and the knowledge are available.
