Simply Cats Adoption Center Review in Boise, Idaho

The Simply Cats Adoption Center in Boise accepts cats that people don’t want or get lost. They provide a good environment for cats to live in until a suitable home can be found for them. Once the cats are evaluated and receive the necessary medical treatment, they are placed in a cage-free environment for adoption. All cats are spayed or neutered before being adopted. Simply Cats does not euthanize for overcrowding. Simply Cats is a non-profit organization.

We got involved with Simply Cats when we moved to where we live now. When we moved here in late 1998, we had no pets. We live outside the city on farmland. One day this cat with the appearance of a sparrow appeared. It looked like he was starving. I felt sorry for him and started feeding him leftovers. You couldn’t even get close to him. I broke down and bought some cat food to feed her. I don’t know if you can imagine this cat, she had the worst color combination you can imagine, her fur was in very bad condition and the hair in the middle of her back was standing on end. Due to her appearance, they named her Scrounge. (I wish we had taken a picture of her.) My wife became very fond of her. She never had a pet growing up. The day my wife’s aunt passed away, the cat started letting me pet her.

I think people throw cats here. Another gray and white cat appeared and had two kittens. She is still with us and we just call her mom. One of her two kittens is still with us too. Scrounge had 3 kittens and that’s when I started telling my wife that you need to make arrangements to spay and neuter these cats if you want to have them.

We ended up having a kitty blast when more feral cats showed up. There was a time when there were over twenty cats and kittens running around here. We contacted Simply Cats and they helped us organize the spaying and neutering of cats and kittens. It ended up costing us very little with their help. We had to catch a lot of them because they were pretty wild. Some of them we brought back home and released. I built them a house to protect themselves from the weather. Simply Cats provided us with a trap and some transporters to help us get the job done. At one point, they even offered to help us with food to feed the wild cats.

Cats have come and gone over the years, but if they stay too long they get trapped and spayed or neutered. Simply Cats has been instrumental in helping us care for cats. As the city approaches, most of the wild cats have disappeared.

I would like to say that Simply Cats is doing an excellent job!
