These days, we shop online for just about everything. This includes girls’ boutique clothing, diapers, formula, gifts, and anything else we may or may not need. But so far we haven’t given much thought to the reasons why we enjoy the online shopping experience. Surely there are the obvious reasons for not having to get dressed, pack in the car, and spend the few hours it takes to browse your baby’s favorite stores. Now, if you are with your child trying to accomplish the above, you may need to call ahead to have your husband prepare a hot bath with a glass (or bottle) of wine. And if your husband was kind enough to take the children off your hands for a few hours so you could go shopping; Wouldn’t you like to take that time and buy yourself? You sure would! Each one is just one click away. They are never closed or rude. And if you have any questions, email or call them and get all your questions answered right away.
2. Explore the biggest and best selections – How many stores would one have to visit to see enough baby suits, sweaters, blankets, socks, hats, pants, sleeping bags, and more to get the perfect catch? And how long would it take? Online, you get access to hundreds of retailers. It’s like visiting a mall dedicated to all your baby and toddler clothing needs!
3. Get the best prices – This is our favorite. So you stayed home and found something you liked, great! Most websites offer free shipping, so you have a chance to save a few bucks there. There is often a special first time customer discount. There are even sites that offer discounts for repeat customers. Then there’s that magic promo code field. Most people overlook this feature. However, if you have a few minutes to do a quick search, you could save additional mass. All you need to do is look for the name of the site and the words “promo code” or “discount coupon” right behind it. Before you know it, you pat yourself on the back and marvel at the massive amount of change you just saved! Oh, we almost forgot to mention that you don’t have to pay sales tax if you buy from out of state. And if you’re wondering, yes, we always have cool promotions.
4. Freedom to change your mind – Then the handsome UPS man comes to your door and leaves a small box. “Yayyyyy!” You scream only to find that the size of the cutest baby clothes you picked doesn’t fit your carpet rat. The solution here is simple: contact the company and ask to change your purchase. Often times, they will trade for free or for a very nominal fee. Here’s a caveat: You should be familiar with the clothing boutique’s return policy before placing your order. This seems like a lot to worry about at first; But once you find the boutiques that suit your tastes (and have a favorable return policy), your shopping needs must be satisfied for a long time.
