Lice Treatment: Facts and Myths About the Harmful Effects of Lice

here are some myths surrounding lice:

  • “Oh! You have lice. You can also get some kind of infection from them.”
  • “Look at this kid, he has lice. It’s obscene.”
  • “I don’t want to play with her. She has lice and they can be a health hazard.”
  • “Did you see this guy? He has nits all over his head. This person almost certainly doesn’t wash his hair every day.”

What could the above observations mean?

There is no reality in the comments mentioned above. They are incorrectly related to lice and women, especially young women in academia, have to face mean and nasty comments due to such lack of knowledge. They are all myths.

Are here the facts What you should keep in mind about lice before starting treatment against lice:

  • Lice do not transmit any virus
  • Lice are not a health hazard
  • Lice don’t make you cruel or disgusting
  • You can’t control lice by washing your hair every day.

We need to fully understand that Americans who get head lice are not actually volunteering to get them. They were carried through the heads of other people or frequently used objects that had been infested. Therefore, it is not a wise decision to call them obscene or undesirable.

Nit-free plan in some schools and nurseries

In quite a few schools, there is a procedure that if a child has nits in their hair, they cannot enter school unless there are no nits. So, until the little one gets rid of all the nits by undergoing a lice treatment, he will have to stay away from school. Schools and day care centers are the places from which children are almost certain to get infected.

But the truth is that I don’t like this plan. The main reason is that when young children return to school, they have to deal with a new nuisance. Yes, they are intimidated just because they once had lice in their hair.

It is noted that shaving the head is a possible route, but the fact is that most students are not comfortable with it, especially a girl. Most young people will feel unwanted at school without hair. Not to mention the intelligent feedback you’ll receive from your peers.

Also, there is no guarantee that after they grow their hair, they will not get lice again. Like other methods, shaving the head is also a short-term solution.

Head lice treatment is necessary when a person’s head is infested with lice. Lice are not dangerous or unpleasant and do not transmit any disease.

So don’t worry if you get them… and be easy with those who have them.
