How to completely remove CA eTrust Antivirus in seconds

If you decide to completely remove CA eTrust Antivirus from your computer and move on to Kapersky, McAfee, or one of the other more useful programs, then I’ll tell you the truth. You can’t count on Windows’ built-in “Add/Remove Programs” – the normal way to uninstall unwanted programs. Because after this uninstallation, in the process of downloading the other antivirus, you may receive a message that the system cannot operate all components (for example, virus scanning, antispam, etc.) while other eTrust programs are still running. they are executing.

So how can you completely remove this stubborn CA eTrust Antivirus? Please read this article and I will tell you how:

One, a manual extraction.

After uninstalling this program in “Add/Remove Programs”, remove all of the following if they still exist:

Step 1

They can appear in a dim tone or dimmed (Ghosts), and then delete each of them. There may also be one or two orphaned Services in the current Control Set in the Registry (also called VET_____).

Step 2

Go to Start – Run, type: unvet32.exe and delete the following:

* C:WindowsAVShlExt.dll
* C:WindowsSystem32ISafeIf.dll
* C:WindowsSystem32iSafProd.dll
* C:WindowsSystem32VetRedir.dll

* C:Program FilesCAeTrust EZ ArmoreTrust EZ Antivirus

* The EZAV start menu program group located at Start->All Programs

*VETMSGNT
*VET-REC

under the key

Delete the following key

*VETWIN32Vp5

Step 4 Restart your computer.

If you had to manually delete any files, run UnVet32.exe again to see what it shows. If it shows a successful message, it will delete itself, thus a complete delete.

However, you should do this at your own risk, as any mistakes can cause your computer to crash. So be careful and double check before deleting anything.

Two, an automaton elimination.

Using an automatic removal tool is a much easier and safer solution. A good uninstaller can help you completely get rid of CA eTrust Antivirus in seconds, without any hassle.
